Business Strategy

An excellent way to help establish a community around your business, and encourage visitor involvement in your site, is to offer a free newsletter. A newsletter gives you the opportunity to communicate your ideas and products, and to highlight areas of your website that have been updated or where new material has been added.

This is especially helpful where your business environment is changing and new and updated information about your products and services needs to be communicated to your customer base. It’s also an excellent way to remind your customers that your business is able to meet their evolving needs.

Any business can benefit from newsletter traffic and the response from your current and prospective customers that the newsletter will generate. Newsletters are excellent ways to educate and inform, and since they are created and sent electronically, you can send them with virtually no reproduction or distribution cost.

Encourage your subscribers to forward your newsletter to people they believe may benefit from reading it. Be sure to include information on you newsletter that makes it easy for those referred to subscribe.

So let’s agree that a newsletter is a good idea for your small business. How do you proceed, and what steps do you need to take to make sure your newsletter doesn’t wind up in the recipients “spam bucket”. See Guidelines to Creating a Newsletter for more information.
