WordPress 3.0 (code named Thelonius - after Thelonius Monk, the legendary jazz pianist and composer) is now shipping. You can download it at WordPress Org. or from inside your WordPress installation. You can listen to some of Thelonius Monk's work here.
Highly recommended --> If you have a recent version of WordPress already installed, you can just upgrade with one click from the Dashboard. The usual precautions apply to first back up your WordPress database and application files - likely all will go well if you don't, but why take the chance.
This new release offers several security improvements, better performance and a new default theme. Upgrading as soon as possible is encouraged.
